Lemon Or Orange Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons lemon or orange juice
- 1 tablespoon caramel (optional)
Method
- 1 Mix cornstarch with a little cold water to form a slurry.
- 2 Combine water, sugar, and cornstarch mixture in a saucepan.
- 3 Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 4 Remove from heat and stir in lemon or orange juice.
- 5 Add caramel if a darker color is desired, then serve.
