Lemon Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon heavy cream
  • 2 pounds loaf sugar
  • 1 teaspoon oil of lemon
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Method

  1. 1 Mix the seasoning (oil of lemon or tincture of vanilla) thoroughly with the sugar.
  2. 2 Beat the eggs well.
  3. 3 Combine the sugar mixture and beaten eggs with the cream.
  4. 4 Freeze the mixture in an ice cream freezer according to standard methods.
