Lemon Frangipane Patties With Orange Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 lb powdered sugar
- 3 egg whites
- 1 lemon, grated peel and juiced
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 lb flour
- Jam, for filling
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 cup orange marmalade
- Cornstarch, for thickening
Method
- 1 Whisk powdered sugar and egg whites. Beat in milk, lemon peel, and salt.
- 2 Stir in flour until combined. Spoon batter into patty tins.
- 3 Bake until done. Scoop out a small piece from the top of each patty to create a well.
- 4 Fill each patty with jam.
- 5 Simmer wine, orange marmalade, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Thicken with cornstarch.
- 6 Pour the warm orange sauce over the filled patties and serve.
