Lemon Extract Buns
Ingredients
- 1 lb flour
- 6 oz butter
- 1/4 lb sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 pint milk
- 15 drops lemon extract
Method
- 1 Warm the butter without oiling it, then beat it with a wooden spoon.
- 2 Stir in the flour and sugar gradually, mixing the ingredients well together.
- 3 Beat the egg and lemon extract into lukewarm milk, then stir this mixture into the flour.
- 4 Beat the dough vigorously for 10 minutes.
- 5 Divide into 24 pieces, place in patty pans, and bake in a brisk oven (400°F) for 20-30 minutes.
