Lemon Cream Whip With Apple Jelly
Ingredients
- 1 pint heavy cream
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Loaf sugar (to taste)
- 3 large egg whites
- Apple jelly, seasoned with lemon
Method
- 1 Grate lemon zest into the heavy cream and sweeten with sugar to taste.
- 2 Whip the cream mixture well until it begins to thicken.
- 3 Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the cream.
- 4 Place a layer of lemon-seasoned apple jelly in the bottom of serving glasses.
- 5 Spoon or pipe the whipped cream mixture on top of the jelly as it rises.
