Lemon Cinnamon Nut Coffee Cake
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
- Juice and grated rind of 1/2 lemon
- Chopped nuts
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Butter
Method
- 1 Mix butter, sugar, egg, milk, flour, baking powder, and lemon juice and rind thoroughly.
- 2 Spread the dough into a shallow buttered baking pan.
- 3 Sprinkle with chopped nuts, sugar, cinnamon, and dots of butter.
- 4 Bake until brown and crisp.
- 5 Cut into squares and serve piping hot.
