Lemon Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites
- juice of 8 lemons
- grated rind of 2 lemons
- 1/4 lb fresh butter
Method
- 1 Combine powdered sugar, egg yolks, egg whites, lemon juice, lemon rind, and butter in a double boiler.
- 2 Stir over a slow fire until the mixture reaches the consistency of honey.
