Lemon Brandy Jumble Cookies
Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 5 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon saleratus
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- Peel of 1 fresh lemon, grated
- ¼ cup brandy
Method
- 1 Cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- 2 Beat in the eggs, then mix in the sour cream and grated lemon peel.
- 3 Dissolve the saleratus in the sour cream mixture if not already done, then stir in the flour and brandy to form a dough.
- 4 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) until golden brown.
