Lemon Brandy Custard Tart
Ingredients
- 1 pint milk
- ¼ pint heavy cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp water
- 5 egg yolks
- powdered sugar to taste
- 1 lemon, grated peel
- 2 tbsp brandy
- 1 sheet puff pastry
Method
- 1 Boil milk and cream in a saucepan.
- 2 Whisk flour and water into a smooth paste, then stir into the hot milk to thicken.
- 3 Remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks, sugar, lemon peel, and brandy.
- 4 Line a dish with puff pastry and pour in the custard mixture.
- 5 Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until set.
