Lemon Arrowroot Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 tsp arrowroot
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Zest of ½ lemon
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- 1 tbsp cold water (for slurry)
- 1 tbsp sherry (optional)
Method
- 1 In a saucepan, combine water, lemon zest, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
- 2 In a small bowl, whisk arrowroot with 1 tbsp cold water until smooth.
- 3 Pour the boiling water mixture into the arrowroot slurry. Stir constantly until thickened.
- 4 Remove from heat, strain, and stir in lemon juice. Add sherry if desired.
