  • Leftover cold meat, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup stock or gravy
  • 1 oz flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp catsup or Harvey's sauce (optional)
  • Toast or fried bread for serving

Method

  1. 1 Mix flour smoothly into the stock or gravy and boil for three minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. 2 Add salt, pepper, and catsup or sauce to the gravy.
  3. 3 Add the cut meat pieces to the gravy and warm through gently; do not boil once meat is added.
  4. 4 Serve the hash on a hot dish, garnished with sippets of fried or toasted bread.
