Layered Scalloped Potatoes With Onion
Ingredients
- 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/2 cup chopped raw onion
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1 dash salt
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 cups non-fat milk
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a large casserole baking pan.
- 2 Place a layer of potatoes in the pan, using approximately 1/4 of the total potatoes.
- 3 Sprinkle the layer with 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1/2 tablespoon margarine, 1 teaspoon flour, salt, and pepper.
- 4 Repeat the layering process three more times to create four total layers.
- 5 Pour warm milk over all ingredients in the casserole dish.
- 6 Bake at 350°F for one hour until potatoes are tender.
