  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons Crisco

Method

  1. 1 Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  2. 2 Rub in 2 tablespoons Crisco with fingertips.
  3. 3 Add milk and mix to form a dough.
  4. 4 Pat and roll out dough, then cut into shapes.
  5. 5 Brush biscuits with melted Crisco.
  6. 6 Place one biscuit on top of another.
  7. 7 Lay on a greased baking tin.
  8. 8 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 10 to 12 minutes.
