Layered Crisco Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons Crisco
Method
- 1 Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- 2 Rub in 2 tablespoons Crisco with fingertips.
- 3 Add milk and mix to form a dough.
- 4 Pat and roll out dough, then cut into shapes.
- 5 Brush biscuits with melted Crisco.
- 6 Place one biscuit on top of another.
- 7 Lay on a greased baking tin.
- 8 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 10 to 12 minutes.
