Laminated Puff Pastry

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups sifted flour
  • ½ cup fresh butter
  • 1 cup cold water
  • ¾ cup butter

Method

  1. 1 Rub ½ cup butter into 1 ¼ cups sifted flour mixed with 1 cup cold water. Let rest for 15 minutes.
  2. 2 Roll dough thin. Place ¾ cup butter in small pieces on top.
  3. 3 Dust with flour, roll thin, and fold. Repeat rolling and folding two more times.
  4. 4 Chill in a cold place for 1 hour before using.
