Lamb Potato And Cabbage Stew
Ingredients
- 2 lbs spring lamb
- 1 walnut-sized piece butter
- 3 cups boiling water
- 3 onions
- Salt and pepper
- 6 peeled raw potatoes
- 1 small head young cabbage, cut into eighths
- 2-3 tomatoes (optional)
Method
- 1 Braise the lamb in butter until lightly browned.
- 2 Add boiling water, onions, salt, and pepper. Simmer slowly for 30 minutes.
- 3 Add potatoes and cabbage. Cover closely and boil slowly for at least 1 hour.
