  • lemon or spice
  • jelly

Method

  1. 1 Peel and core the apples. Cook them in enough syrup to cover until soft, adding lemon or spice for flavor if desired.
  2. 2 Drain the apples and fill the cores with jelly.
  3. 3 Reduce the syrup by rapid boiling, then pour it around the apples and chill.
