Jelly Roll Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- flavoring of choice
- jelly for filling
Method
- 1 Sift the sugar, flour, and cream of tartar together into a bowl.
- 2 Add the eggs and stir the mixture for ten minutes until well combined.
- 3 Stir in the cold water, baking soda, and your chosen flavoring.
- 4 Pour the batter into a biscuit pan and bake until done.
- 5 Lay the cake on a board, spread with jelly, and roll it up.
