Hot Chocolate Coffee Froth

Ingredients

  • ½ pound vanilla sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup strong hot coffee
  • 6 cups scalded milk
  • Whipped cream, sweetened and flavored (optional)
  • Cracked ice (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Melt chocolate over hot water. Slowly stir in hot coffee and boil for 1 minute.
  2. 2 Pour the chocolate mixture into scalded milk. Beat vigorously until a thick froth forms on top.
  3. 3 Keep the beverage over hot water for 10 minutes to maintain temperature and froth.
  4. 4 Serve hot with sweetened whipped cream, or chill and serve over cracked ice.
