Hot Chocolate Coffee Froth
Ingredients
- ½ pound vanilla sweet chocolate
- 1 cup strong hot coffee
- 6 cups scalded milk
- Whipped cream, sweetened and flavored (optional)
- Cracked ice (optional)
Method
- 1 Melt chocolate over hot water. Slowly stir in hot coffee and boil for 1 minute.
- 2 Pour the chocolate mixture into scalded milk. Beat vigorously until a thick froth forms on top.
- 3 Keep the beverage over hot water for 10 minutes to maintain temperature and froth.
- 4 Serve hot with sweetened whipped cream, or chill and serve over cracked ice.
