Hot Buttered Cabbage Salad
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1 well-beaten egg
- cabbage, chopped fine
Method
- 1 Boil vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard, and pepper.
- 2 Cream butter and mix with flour; stir into the boiling vinegar mixture.
- 3 Cook for five minutes.
- 4 Stir in the well-beaten egg.
- 5 Pour the hot dressing over chopped cabbage and toss to combine.
