Hot Bacon Dressing Salad
Ingredients
- ½ pound bacon, cut into tiny squares
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- Few grains pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon mustard
- 4 tablespoons vinegar
- ½ cup bacon fat
- Lettuce
Method
- 1 Cook bacon squares until crisp. Reserve both the bacon fat and the diced bacon.
- 2 Mix brown sugar, pepper, paprika, and mustard. Stir in vinegar until smooth.
- 3 Add the vinegar mixture to ½ cup of the reserved bacon fat and bring to a boil.
- 4 Sprinkle lettuce with the reserved bacon dice. Pour the hot dressing over the salad just before serving.
