Horseradish Sauce For Corned Beef

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup grated horseradish
  • ¼ tsp dry mustard
  • salt and pepper

Method

  1. 1 Melt butter in a saucepan and remove from heat. Stir in flour until smooth.
  2. 2 Gradually add milk while stirring constantly until the mixture boils and thickens.
  3. 3 Season with salt and pepper, then cook for 3 minutes.
  4. 4 Stir in grated horseradish and dry mustard until well blended.
  5. 5 Keep warm in a double boiler and serve over boiled or corned beef.
