Honey Brown Sugar Raisin Nut Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 7 tablespoons shortening
- 3 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup seeded raisins
- 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon mace
Method
- 1 Place brown sugar, honey, egg, and shortening in a mixing bowl. Beat to blend.
- 2 Add flour, raisins, nuts, baking powder, and mace. Mix until combined.
- 3 Roll out dough and cut into shapes.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for ten minutes.
