Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 3 cups milk
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup cream
Method
- 1 Place milk in a saucepan and whisk in cornstarch until dissolved.
- 2 Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for five minutes, stirring constantly.
- 3 Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 4 Stir in sugar, vanilla, and cream until well combined.
- 5 Chill thoroughly, then freeze according to your ice cream maker's instructions.
