Homemade Meat And Bone Stock
Ingredients
- scraps of cooked or uncooked meat
- bones (cooked or uncooked)
- water (1 pint per pound of meat and bones)
- vegetables (proportionate to first stock)
Method
- 1 Break up the bones.
- 2 Combine meat, bones, and vegetables in a pot with water (1 pint per pound of meat/bones).
- 3 Boil gently until all flavor and gelatin are extracted from the ingredients.
- 4 Strain the stock, removing all solids.
- 5 Set aside the strained stock for use.
