Homemade Chocolate Syrup
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup cocoa
- ½ teaspoon salt
Method
- 1 Stir water and sugar in a saucepan over heat until dissolved.
- 2 Boil the mixture for 5 minutes.
- 3 Mix cocoa with a small amount of cold water to make a paste, then add to the boiling sugar water.
- 4 Boil slowly for 10 minutes, then stir in the salt.
- 5 Cool completely and store in a bottle or jar in the refrigerator.
