Homemade Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients
- 1¾ cups water
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 squares chocolate or 6 tablespoons cocoa
- ½ cup cold water
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Boil water and sugar for 5 minutes.
- 2 Mix grated chocolate or cocoa with cornstarch and cold water.
- 3 Add the chocolate mixture to the boiling water and boil for 5 minutes.
- 4 Stir in salt, butter, and vanilla. Serve hot.
