Homemade Apricot Glaze

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb apricot jam
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 pint water

Method

  1. 1 Dilute the apricot jam with 1/2 pint of water in a saucepan.
  2. 2 Bring the mixture to a boil and pass it through a sieve to remove any lumps.
  3. 3 Return the strained liquid to the pan and bring to a boil again.
  4. 4 Thicken the sauce by stirring in the cornstarch until smooth.
  5. 5 Serve the sauce hot or cold.
