Herb Marinated Broiled Steak

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil or thyme
  • 1 pound boneless beef chuck shoulder steak, 1-inch thick

Method

  1. 1 Mix onion, parsley, vinegar, mustard, garlic powder, and basil or thyme.
  2. 2 Place meat in a plastic bag and pour in the marinade.
  3. 3 Close bag securely, place in a bowl, and marinate in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours or overnight, turning once.
  4. 4 Pour off and discard the marinade. Place meat on a rack in the broiler.
  5. 5 Broil for 15 to 20 minutes or until desired doneness, turning once halfway through.
  6. 6 Cut into thin slices to serve.
