Herb Bread Stuffing With Celery

Ingredients

  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 minced onion
  • 1 cup soaked bread, water pressed out
  • ½ cup stock
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • ½ cup celery, cut into small pieces
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Add minced onion and fry until softened.
  3. 3 Stir in soaked bread (water pressed out), stock, salt, pepper, thyme, and celery.
  4. 4 Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
