Herb And Lemon Bread Crumb Balls
Ingredients
- 2 ounces bread crumbs
- 3 teaspoons chopped parsley
- 1.5 teaspoons mixed sweet herbs
- 1.5 teaspoons grated lemon rind
- 0.5 teaspoon pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 ounce butter
- 0.125 teaspoon powdered mace
- 1 ounce butter for frying
Method
- 1 Mix bread crumbs, parsley, sweet herbs, lemon rind, pepper, salt, and mace thoroughly.
- 2 Add 1 ounce butter and beaten egg; stir all well together.
- 3 Form mixture into balls about the size of a large cherry.
- 4 Fry in 1 ounce butter until nicely browned.
