Hashed Beef On Toast
Ingredients
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1 lb cold meat, sliced thin
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 pint water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Boiled potatoes or toasted bread slices for serving
Method
- 1 Chop onions finely and place in a saucepan with water, salt, and pepper. Boil for 10 minutes.
- 2 Add sliced cold meat and flour to the pan. Stir to combine.
- 3 Simmer gently for 10 minutes until heated through and thickened.
- 4 Serve the hash over boiled potatoes or toasted bread slices.
