Ham Parmesan Toasts
Ingredients
- bread, sliced ¼ inch thick
- butter or fat for frying
- chopped ham
- cream or milk
- cayenne pepper
- grated Parmesan cheese
Method
- 1 Cut bread into ¼-inch slices and use a biscuit cutter to form circles.
- 2 Fry or sauté the bread circles in butter or hot fat until golden.
- 3 Pound chopped ham into a paste and moisten with a little cream or milk.
- 4 Spread the ham mixture onto the fried bread circles.
- 5 Dust with cayenne, sprinkle with Parmesan, and bake in a hot oven (425°F) until browned.
