Ham Bone And Soup Bean Stew
Ingredients
- 1 lb soup beans
- 1 ham bone
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 can tomato sauce
- ½ cup diced potatoes
- 2 tsp minced parsley
- salt and pepper
Method
- 1 Soak beans in water overnight, then drain.
- 2 Add fresh water and ham bone to beans; cook slowly for 2 hours.
- 3 Add onion, celery, potatoes, tomato sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper; simmer until vegetables are soft.
- 4 Remove ham bone, trim meat, cut it up, and return to soup.
