Ham And Swiss Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces low sodium extra lean ham, thinly sliced
  • 6 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 3 slices enriched white bread
  • 3 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon "beau monde" seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Method

  1. 1 Lightly spray an 8x8 baking pan with non-stick spray. Lay 3 slices of bread in the bottom.
  2. 2 Layer half the ham and half the cheese over the bread. Repeat with remaining bread, ham, and cheese.
  3. 3 Beat together milk, eggs, mustard, seasoning, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour evenly over the casserole.
  4. 4 Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 325°F for 1 hour. Serve hot.
