Ham And Swiss Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients
- 6 ounces low sodium extra lean ham, thinly sliced
- 6 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded
- 3 slices enriched white bread
- 3 slices whole wheat bread
- 1 cup skim milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon "beau monde" seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Method
- 1 Lightly spray an 8x8 baking pan with non-stick spray. Lay 3 slices of bread in the bottom.
- 2 Layer half the ham and half the cheese over the bread. Repeat with remaining bread, ham, and cheese.
- 3 Beat together milk, eggs, mustard, seasoning, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour evenly over the casserole.
- 4 Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 325°F for 1 hour. Serve hot.
