Ham And Pepper Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 seeded green peppers, chopped
  • ½ cup raw ham, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup parboiled rice
  • 3 cups beef stock
  • 1 cup canned tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

  1. 1 Chop together the onion, green peppers, and raw ham.
  2. 2 Sauté the mixture in butter until softened.
  3. 3 Add the parboiled rice, beef stock, canned tomatoes, and salt.
  4. 4 Cook very slowly until the rice is tender and the liquid is nearly absorbed.
