Ham And Pea Stew
Ingredients
- 1-2 young onions, cut in half
- Oil for cooking
- 1 thick slice ham, cut into small cubes
- 1 lb peas (approximate based on onion quantity)
- Pinch of pepper
- Very little salt
- Broth for cooking
- Butter
Method
- 1 Heat oil in a pot and add the halved onions and cubed ham. Brown until the ham is shriveled.
- 2 Add the peas, season with a pinch of pepper and very little salt. Mix well.
- 3 Add broth to cover and cook until the peas are tender, adding a little butter near the end.
- 4 Remove and discard the onions before serving.
