Ham And Pea Stew

Ingredients

  • 1-2 young onions, cut in half
  • Oil for cooking
  • 1 thick slice ham, cut into small cubes
  • 1 lb peas (approximate based on onion quantity)
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Very little salt
  • Broth for cooking
  • Butter

Method

  1. 1 Heat oil in a pot and add the halved onions and cubed ham. Brown until the ham is shriveled.
  2. 2 Add the peas, season with a pinch of pepper and very little salt. Mix well.
  3. 3 Add broth to cover and cook until the peas are tender, adding a little butter near the end.
  4. 4 Remove and discard the onions before serving.
