  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Method

  1. 1 Cook breadcrumbs and milk together for two minutes. Remove from heat and mix in ham.
  2. 2 Beat egg yolks and add them to the mixture along with 1 tablespoon parsley, onion, and paprika.
  3. 3 Whip egg whites to stiff peaks and fold them into the mixture last.
  4. 4 Turn into a well-greased baking dish and bake in a 350°F oven for 35 minutes until firm.
  5. 5 For the sauce, melt butter and stir in flour until smooth. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thick.
