Gruyere Ham Croque Monsieur
Ingredients
- crustless bread, cut into rounds
- butter
- grated Gruyère cheese
- ham, cut to match bread size
- fried parsley for garnish
Method
- 1 Butter the bread rounds and sprinkle generously with grated Gruyère cheese.
- 2 Place a piece of ham on half of the cheese-covered rounds.
- 3 Melt butter in a pan and fry the bread rounds until golden brown on both sides.
- 4 Stack a plain cheese round on top of a ham round to form a sandwich.
- 5 Serve immediately while hot, garnished with fried parsley.
