Ground Beef Taco Salad
Ingredients
- 2 cups lettuce, torn into small pieces
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, chopped
- 16 ounces green pepper, chopped
- 1 pound ground turkey or ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can (15.5 ounces) pinto beans, low-sodium, drained
- 3/4 cup salsa or taco sauce
Method
- 1 Wash hands and place torn lettuce in a large bowl. Add chopped tomatoes and green pepper.
- 2 Brown the ground meat and chopped onion in a frying pan. Drain off fat and liquid.
- 3 Mix the cooked meat, drained beans, and salsa in a separate bowl.
- 4 Add the meat mixture to the salad bowl and toss to combine. Serve with additional salsa.
