Ground Beef And Vegetable Noodle Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) low sodium beef broth
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) sliced carrots, drained
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) no salt added cut green beans
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) no salt added stewed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 cup cooked egg noodles

Method

  1. 1 Heat oil in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, stirring frequently. Remove beef with a slotted spoon.
  2. 2 In the same pan, cook onion and garlic over medium heat until tender-crisp.
  3. 3 Add beef broth, carrots, green beans, stewed tomatoes, basil, and the cooked beef. Bring to a boil.
  4. 4 Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally.
