Grilled Oysters With Herbs And Bread Crumbs

Ingredients

  • Oysters on the half shell
  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Method

  1. 1 Clean and shuck oysters, keeping them on the half shell. Rub the inside of each shell with a cut clove of garlic.
  2. 2 In a small bowl, mix the chopped parsley, thyme, pepper, and bread crumbs.
  3. 3 Spoon the herb mixture onto each oyster. Drizzle a few drops of olive oil over each one.
  4. 4 Place oysters on a grill over an open fire or high heat. Grill for a few minutes until heated through.
  5. 5 Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the oysters and serve immediately.
