Grilled Mutton Kabob With Turmeric Rice
Ingredients
- 1 slice mutton, tender and not sinewy
- 1 slice ginger, steeped overnight
- 1 slice onion
- 1 silver skewer
- 1 cup rice
- ½ cup split peas
- Turmeric for coloring
- Plain gravy
Method
- 1 Steep the ginger slice overnight to soften it for slicing.
- 2 Thread the mutton, ginger, and onion slices alternately onto the silver skewer.
- 3 Place the skewered meat in a stewpan with a little plain gravy.
- 4 Boil the rice and split peas together with turmeric until thoroughly cooked.
- 5 Serve the kabob with the rice and peas, either separately or together.
