Griddle English Muffins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1¼ cups milk

Method

  1. 1 Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. 2 Gradually mix in milk to form a soft dough.
  3. 3 Half-fill greased muffin rings on a hot greased griddle, or shape into flat round cakes with floured hands.
  4. 4 Bake on a griddle or frying pan, turning until brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  5. 5 Split and serve hot with butter.
