Griddle English Muffins
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1¼ cups milk
Method
- 1 Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- 2 Gradually mix in milk to form a soft dough.
- 3 Half-fill greased muffin rings on a hot greased griddle, or shape into flat round cakes with floured hands.
- 4 Bake on a griddle or frying pan, turning until brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
- 5 Split and serve hot with butter.
