Griddle Cooked English Muffins
Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1 cup boiled milk
- 1/2 cup liquid yeast
- Corn meal for dusting
Method
- 1 Mix flour, sugar, butter, boiled milk, and liquid yeast. Set to rise overnight.
- 2 In the morning, roll dough to three-fourths inch thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter.
- 3 Allow muffins to rise again before cooking.
- 4 Cook on a hot griddle on the stove, turning like hot cakes. Dust board with corn meal.
