Grated Apple Ice Cream

Ingredients

• 1 cup heavy cream
• sugar to taste
• lemon juice
• apples, peeled and grated

Method

1. 1 Combine half the cream and all the sugar in a saucepan over heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
2. 2 Allow the mixture to cool completely. Place in an ice cream freezer and begin freezing.
3. 3 Just before freezing is complete, add lemon juice and freshly grated apples. Continue freezing until firm.
4. 4 Transfer the ice cream to a container and pack tightly to ripen in the freezer.
