Grated Apple Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- sugar to taste
- lemon juice
- apples, peeled and grated
Method
- 1 Combine half the cream and all the sugar in a saucepan over heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 2 Allow the mixture to cool completely. Place in an ice cream freezer and begin freezing.
- 3 Just before freezing is complete, add lemon juice and freshly grated apples. Continue freezing until firm.
- 4 Transfer the ice cream to a container and pack tightly to ripen in the freezer.
