Grapefruit Pineapple Salad With Pimento

Ingredients

  • 1 large grapefruit
  • 1 large pineapple
  • white mayonnaise
  • crisp lettuce hearts
  • pimento
  • sherry wine
  • sugar

Method

  1. 1 Cut the grapefruit in half and carefully remove the pulp with a sharp knife to avoid crushing it.
  2. 2 Carefully remove the inedible outside of the pineapple, then remove half the pulp from the core using a fork.
  3. 3 Dress the fruit with white mayonnaise and arrange on crisp lettuce hearts.
  4. 4 Garnish with tiny bits of pimento, cut into small stars or chopped fine.
