Grapefruit Pineapple Salad With Pimento
Ingredients
- 1 large grapefruit
- 1 large pineapple
- white mayonnaise
- crisp lettuce hearts
- pimento
- sherry wine
- sugar
Method
- 1 Cut the grapefruit in half and carefully remove the pulp with a sharp knife to avoid crushing it.
- 2 Carefully remove the inedible outside of the pineapple, then remove half the pulp from the core using a fork.
- 3 Dress the fruit with white mayonnaise and arrange on crisp lettuce hearts.
- 4 Garnish with tiny bits of pimento, cut into small stars or chopped fine.
