Graham Flour Yeast Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts improved Graham flour
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1/4 cake yeast dissolved in 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. 1 Mix salt into flour. Make a well in the center.
  2. 2 Pour boiling water into the well, followed by lukewarm water and dissolved yeast.
  3. 3 Knead well for at least 15 minutes. Add sugar during kneading.
  4. 4 Set dough to rise overnight.
  5. 5 Mold into loaves in the morning and let rise until very light.
  6. 6 Bake until well done.
