Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup graham flour
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons molasses or sugar
  • 3 tablespoons shortening

Method

  1. 1 Mix together the dry ingredients: flour, graham flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. 2 Add milk, beaten egg, molasses or sugar, and melted shortening. Stir until smooth.
  3. 3 Bake in greased gem pans in a hot oven (425°F) for about 25 minutes.
