Gooseberry Turnovers
Ingredients
- Gooseberries
- Sugar
- Shortcrust pastry
Method
- 1 Remove the stems and tails from the gooseberries.
- 2 Roll out the pastry and cut into large rounds.
- 3 Wet the edges of each round and place gooseberries and a teaspoon of sugar in the center.
- 4 Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges to seal.
- 5 Decorate the edges with a fork or spoon, place on a greased baking sheet, and bake in a 425°F oven for 15 minutes.
