  • Gooseberries
  • Sugar
  • Shortcrust pastry

Method

  1. 1 Remove the stems and tails from the gooseberries.
  2. 2 Roll out the pastry and cut into large rounds.
  3. 3 Wet the edges of each round and place gooseberries and a teaspoon of sugar in the center.
  4. 4 Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges to seal.
  5. 5 Decorate the edges with a fork or spoon, place on a greased baking sheet, and bake in a 425°F oven for 15 minutes.
