Glazed Carrots With Lemon

Ingredients

  • carrots, peeled and sliced
  • salt
  • 2 tbsp butter per 2 cups carrots
  • 2 tbsp sugar per 2 cups carrots
  • lemon juice

Method

  1. 1 Cook peeled and sliced carrots in boiling salted water until tender.
  2. 2 Drain carrots and place in a saucepan with butter and sugar (2 tbsp each per 2 cups of carrots).
  3. 3 Stir constantly until the carrots are covered in syrup and lightly colored.
  4. 4 Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve immediately.
